To our American Heroes, Southwest Florida Honor Flight, Inc. recognizes you for your sacrifices and achievements by flying you to Washington, DC to see YOUR memorial at no cost to you.
Top priority (for which we are currently accepting applications only) is given to WW II and terminally ill veterans from all wars. Honor Flight also includes Korea and Vietnam veterans.
Every veteran is paired with a guardian who flies with the veterans, providing assistance and ensuring that you have a safe, memorable and rewarding experience.
CONFIRMED Veterans and Guardians are those who have received the interview phone call and confirmation email are required to attend orientation. The orientation date will be provided in that confirmation email upon confirmation call with Veteran and Guardian.
All Veteran and Guardian applications submitted are placed on a waitlist. Only 1 application is necessary, upon receipt a confirmation email will be sent within 30 days to email address listed on application.
!!IMPORTANT!! GUARDIAN APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH THE VETERAN APPLICATION
IF A VETERAN IS WANTING A PARTICULAR PERSON TO BE THEIR GUARDIAN.
SPOUSES AND LIFE PARTNERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE GUARDIANS.
All Veterans and Guardians selected for the flight will be called by a SWFL Honor Flight Board Member and provided details of the mission,
training and orientation dates and will receive confirmation that they are on the flight with additional details. WE WILL LEAVE 1 VOICE MESSAGE, 1 TEXT MESSAGE AND 1 EMAIL WITH A 48 HOUR REPLY REQUESTED. IF WE DO NOT HEAR BACK, WE WILL MOVE ON TO THE NEXT APPLICANT. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU MONITOR FOR SWFL HONOR FLIGHT CALLS FROM AREA CODES OTHER THAN (941) SO YOU DON'T MISS YOUR CALL!
